Smithy Location and Unlock

The smithy sits in the Town of Beginnings hub, Echoes of Aincrad's central safe zone on Floor 1. Bandai Namco's Action-RPG unlocks smithy services partway through the demo mission chain — after you return with introductory crafting materials from field nodes. Crafting New Equipment

Crafting converts gathered ore, hides, and boss drops into weapons and armor at defined tier levels. Craft when upgrades cannot bridge a tier gap or when you swap weapons mid-demo and need a baseline piece.

Upgrade Loop

Upgrading strengthens equipment you already own, preserving EX-MOD syntheses attached to that piece. Feed duplicate materials into the upgrade menu to raise tier levels up to your current Cardinal Rank cap. Upgrades are usually more material-efficient than crafting fresh gear every rank.
