Privacy Policy
Introduction
Echoes of Aincrad Wiki ("we," "us," or the "Site") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit echoes-of-aincrad.wiki, how we use it, and your choices. The Site is a static English fan wiki about Echoes of Aincrad, hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We are not affiliated with Bandai Namco, Arika, or Aniplex.
By using the Site, you agree to this Policy. If you disagree, please stop using the Site. We may update this Policy; changes take effect when posted with a revised date.
Information We Collect
Hosting logs. Cloudflare and our static host process standard server logs when you request pages: IP address, user agent, requested URL, referrer, and timestamp. These logs help secure the Site, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate traffic. We do not use logs to identify individual players or link visits to platform gamertags.
Analytics. We may use privacy-oriented analytics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics or a similar cookieless, aggregated metrics product) to count page views and referrers. We configure analytics to minimize personal data and avoid cross-site tracking profiles where product settings allow. We do not sell analytics data.
Local browser storage. Interactive tools (build planner, save transfer checklist, growth point advisor) may store your inputs in localStorage or sessionStorage on your device only. That data never leaves your browser unless you copy it yourself. Clearing site data removes it.
Contact. If you email us, we receive the address and message content you send. We use it only to respond and do not add you to marketing lists.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not operate user accounts, forums, or comment systems on the core wiki at launch. We do not collect payment information—we do not sell goods. We do not request PlayStation, Xbox, or Steam credentials. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; the Site is a general-audience game reference. If you believe a child provided personal data to us, contact us to delete it.
How We Use Information
We use hosting logs and analytics to maintain security, measure which guides help players, and plan content updates (demo info, release timeline, tools). We use contact email to reply to corrections, rights requests, or technical reports. We do not use your data for automated profiling or targeted advertising on this Site.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The static wiki uses few or no first-party cookies for basic reading. Analytics or Cloudflare security features may set short-lived cookies or use local storage equivalents as described in our Cookie Policy. Tool pages use localStorage for checklist state. You can block cookies in browser settings; tools may lose remembered checkboxes but articles remain readable.
Third-Party Services
Embedded YouTube videos, if present on guide pages, load content from Google and are subject to Google's privacy policy. Outbound links to PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam, Bandai Namco, or social networks are third-party sites with their own practices. We do not control third-party data collection.
Cloudflare provides CDN, DDoS protection, and Pages hosting. Their processing is governed by Cloudflare's privacy documentation. We choose configurations aimed at static delivery with minimal processing beyond delivery and security.
Data Retention and Security
Server logs rotate on schedules set by our host and Cloudflare, typically short retention for operational needs. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve inquiries. Static site architecture reduces attack surface—no wiki database of users—but no online service is perfectly secure.
International Visitors and Your Rights
Visitors from the EEA, UK, and other regions may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data we hold. Because we collect little identifiable data, many requests will confirm we have no records beyond ephemeral logs. Contact us via the footer link to exercise rights; we may ask for reasonable verification.
California residents may have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA regarding sale or sharing of personal information—we do not sell personal information.
Contact
Privacy questions or data requests: use the contact method in the site footer. Effective date: June 2026.
