The wiki is a fan-run reference, not an official publisher channel. We cross-check press releases, store listings, and patch notes before updating. When balance changes or bonus items shift, this section is revised first so you can bookmark one reliable starting point.
Current coverage spans eight topics: Patch 1.0.3, launch-day checklist, demo availability, Death Game Mode, edition bonuses, Expansion DLC, and the release timeline archive. Each has a dedicated article with FAQs and cross-links to guides and tools.

Patch 1.0.3 and Save Transfer
The day-one patch is required for the smoothest demo Carry Over experience. Ver.1.0.2 also supports transfer, but Bandai Namco recommends Ver.1.0.3 for balance fixes and the Support Item Set bonus. Confirm your version on the title screen before importing demo progress.
Our Save Transfer Guide and Save Transfer Checklist walk through the Carry Over flow. Demo saves cannot enter Death Game Mode — create a separate new file for permadeath runs.
Editions, Death Game Mode, and Expansion DLC
Retail SKUs include Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, and the PS5-only Aincrad Edition collector's set. Pre-orders through July 9 included the Proto-Elucidator weapon series. Deluxe adds Expansion DLC Pass, Starter Pack consumables, and Death Game Mode Early Unlock. Ultimate adds the Unanswered//butterfly bonus app and Flutter armor. Compare everything on Pre-Order Bonuses.
Death Game Mode erases your save on death. Standard owners unlock it after beating the story; Deluxe and Ultimate owners can start permadeath immediately. Read the full rules on Death Game Mode.
Expansion DLC is scheduled by December 31, 2026, bundled in Deluxe and Ultimate. Track updates on Expansion DLC.
