Pre-Order Bonuses: Standard, Deluxe & Ultimate
Edition Overview: Standard, Deluxe, Ultimate, and Aincrad
Echoes of Aincrad ships in four primary purchase options on digital storefronts, plus a physical collector's Aincrad Edition on the Bandai Namco Store for PlayStation 5. All editions include the full base game with the same story, combat systems, and online co-op where supported. Differences are bundled digital entitlements, cosmetic packs, and convenience items—not locked story chapters.
Standard Edition contains only the base game. Every pre-order through July 9, 2026—regardless of edition—also receives the Proto-Elucidator Weapon Pack when purchased before the cutoff. Deluxe and Ultimate stack additional digital goods on top of Standard. Ultimate is the largest bundle; Aincrad Edition merges Ultimate entitlements with physical merchandise.
Regional storefronts may adjust pricing and packaging text, but Bandai Namco Europe's "Everything You Need to Know" FAQ lists identical digital contents across Western territories. Screenshot your cart at purchase and compare against this wiki's itemized tables, updated from official English store pages as of July 2026.
Standard Edition
Standard includes the complete Echoes of Aincrad base game. Pre-order customers receive the Proto-Elucidator Weapon Pack: six weapon types inspired by Kirito's prototype Elucidator, plus a shield and six weapon blueprints. Stats are tuned for early Floor 1—stronger than default starters but not endgame best-in-slot.
Standard owners unlock Death Game Mode only after completing the main story once. There is no Expansion DLC Pass, Starter Pack, or Early Unlock in this tier. Demo save transfer works normally on Standard saves.
Detailed weapon stats live on our Pre-Order Pack items page. Items arrive via in-game mail or the bonus menu after launch, linked to the purchasing platform account.
Deluxe Edition
Deluxe includes everything in Standard plus four bundled add-ons: Expansion DLC Pass (scheduled by December 31, 2026), Starter Pack, Death Game Mode Early Unlock, and the Proto-Elucidator pre-order series when ordered before cutoff.
Starter Pack contents: 50,000 Col, 10 High Healing Potions, 10 High SP Potions, and 10 Mystic Crystals—consumables for early exploration and boss attempts. Early Unlock lets you start Death Game Mode on your first playthrough without beating the story first.
The Expansion DLC Pass grants the post-launch expansion at no extra charge when it releases. See Expansion DLC for the release window and entitlement rules. Avoid buying the standalone expansion later if you already own Deluxe.
Ultimate Edition and Aincrad Edition
Ultimate includes all Deluxe content plus the Echoes of Aincrad Unanswered//butterfly Bonus Contents App: a special anime movie, digital soundtrack, and digital artbook. It also adds the Armor Pack with Flutter Boots and Flutter Robes for in-game cosmetic gear.
Expansion DLC Pass and Death Game Mode Early Unlock are identical to Deluxe—Ultimate does not include extra DLC episodes, only media and armor extras. Collectors who want every digital item should target Ultimate before the July 9 pre-order cutoff.
Aincrad Edition is a PS5-only physical collector's box from the Bandai Namco Store (limited to two units per customer in North America). It bundles Ultimate digital entitlements with merchandise: beanie, wall scroll, patches, and sticker pack. Verify regional availability and price on the official store.
Proto-Elucidator Pre-Order Weapon Series
All eligible pre-orders receive the Proto-Elucidator series regardless of edition tier. The pack covers six weapon types plus shield and blueprints, referencing the Black Swordsman's iconic gear adapted to Echoes of Aincrad balance. Bandai Namco notes contents may be distributed at a later date after launch and specifications can change without notice.
Family sharing rules differ by platform: Steam Family Library, PlayStation child accounts, and Xbox home console sharing may block DLC entitlements on secondary profiles. Purchase on the account that will play at launch, aligned with your demo save platform.
Pre-order cutoffs end July 9, 2026 at 23:59 in most digital stores. Late purchases receive Standard game access but may miss Proto-Elucidator unless Bandai Namco extends the promotion.
How to Claim Bonuses at Launch
On July 9–10, 2026 (see Release Timeline), boot the installed game while online and open the bonus redemption menu. PlayStation: Restore Licenses if items fail to appear. Xbox: confirm the purchasing account is home console when sharing. Steam: verify DLC ownership after library sync.
Follow the Launch Day Guide for pre-load timing, day-one patch, and demo Carry Over before redeeming entitlements. Keep purchase receipts until all items appear in-game.

Expansion DLC Pass, Starter Pack consumables, Death Game Mode Early Unlock, and the same Proto-Elucidator pre-order bonus.

By December 31, 2026. Deluxe and Ultimate include the Pass at no extra charge. See our Expansion DLC page for details.
